March 12:
We arose today with the goal of getting to Milan.
Fortunately this was not an overly difficult goal to achieve. Once we checked
out of the hotel we went to grab a kebab for what was now around lunch. After
our meal we headed back to the hotel to
book a hostel in Milan, a slight oversight on out part. Hostel safely booked we
were cleared to depart. Zoe had made aware to us that the best way to get to
Milan would likely to be to head back south to Rome then take a high-speed
train from there. We did this with little difficulty and were soon safe and
sound in Hostel Colours Milan. We made a venture out to get food and soon had an appreciation for how early everything
closes in our small corner of Milan. After some pizza by the slice we settled
into our hostel. After our smidgen of wine was dearly departed I decided to head
to the hostel bar where I found a fun group of English and Germans who were
accepting of my company. We chilled and joked and contemplated playing cards but
fairly soon the hour caught up to me and I was in need of my cot.
