March 19:
I awoke early this morning in very poor shape. We eventually
got outside for a bit of a walk around the city and some food. When we got back
to the hostel everyone was congregated in the lounge we hung out for a few
hours before heading out for the night as a group. Tonight’s plan was to first
head to Retox, a sister hostel of Carpe Noctem and then together head to a bar
that had beer pong and karaoke.
Both spots were really cool. I was fortunate to spend most of my night talking to this really cool Hungarian student named Anna as well as some of her friends and her boyfriend.
For the most part they spoke excellent English and it was really interesting to learn about what it is like to actually live in Hungary. When the bar closed I parted ways with the Hungarians and headed back to the hostel after a quick stop for a kebab.
