March 18:
Today we got up and out and headed to the train station. We
caught the 11:45 train to Budapest and were on our way.
Once in Budapest we needed to find an atm before we could get a tram to our hostel since Hungary is not in the Euro zone and has its own currency valued at about 300 Hungarian Forint to the Euro. Fortunately we were able to find one without much problem. I took out money for two because pat somehow had his wallet stolen between buying lunch at the train station in Vienna and our getting to the atm. We hadn’t even thought anyone had come close to us in that period of time.

We got to Carpe Noctem without problem and settled in
getting to know the other travelers. After some dinner we had a few too many
drinks and went out for a night of Monday karaoke. In an unpleasant turn I
would later get sick and would need a cab home.
