A Rather Strange Museum

March 24:
We woke up late this morning though a more accurate way of putting it would be that we woke up later today as each day in Prague we had woken up both late and progressively later. It was then 1pm by the time we got out for food. Pat had had a small cold the day before that had taken the night to swell in strength to a full blown cold that kept him in bed for the majority of the day. Thus it was Zak, Christine and I who made our way down to a local vendor for slices of pizza that morning. Once we ate it was getting kind of late and Christine had plans to make the 2pm walking tour that the rest of our posse had taken before she arrived and that she had planned to do the previous day before getting sidetracked. Zak and I planned to head back to the hostel to see what people planned that day. On our way back we ran into these three funny British guys that we had met the previous night and they informed us that they were heading to the Sex Machine Museum. We thought it would be worth a laugh and tagged along. It was pretty amusing and after Zack and I decided it was about time to head back to the hostel to look up the trains to Berlin and some of the hostels as we were leaving Prague the next day.

We were a little distracted by the movies playing at the hostel but did find train times. We didn’t book a hostel as there were a lot of well-known chains in Berlin though some were fortunate enough to not have a great number of vacancies. Pat joined us while we were in the movie room and we eventually ventures out for food at the CafĂ© Louvre, a local restaurant with inexpensive but good Czech cuisine. While the boys got goulash I grabbed Czech pasta that was quite good. After dinner we watched quite a bit of tv. I spent some of this time in my room catching up on youtube videos that I had been neglecting for a couple weeks. When Christine, Zak and I eventually made it downstairs the entire group was about to leave for the bar. We decided to have a beer and follow suit. The bar had 50 crown mixed drinks, about 2 dollars Canadian, so our group had a few Long Island Iced Teas before getting some food and heading home. Pat had not come out with us but opted to rest and was asleep for the night soon after we got back. It was a good night.

Also of note for today: My friend Emily emailed me saying she plans to quit her job and is looking into flights to come and join us.
