They Say of the Acropolis Where the Parthenon is

April 8:
I got up early today despite my sickness and Pat slept in. Once we got going around noon we decided to hike over to the Acropolis and see the sights. It is really amazing. It pops up from the center and is covered in ancient temples and is right beside the Areopagus, the famous hill where trials were once held. From the top you can get a really nice view of the city.

After we had seen that we headed back to the square near our hostel and wandered through the flea market looking into the stalls. Thye have a vast variety of things, the most interesting I saw being trinkets carved from olive wood. After that we headed back to our hostel. We rested for a while but soon enough our roommates got back wanting to go out for dinner and drinks. We had no plans so we went with them. At dinner I got a grilled squid and a beer. The guys wanted to check out the night life so we hit a bar next called Why Sleep. The cheapest way to drink there was to get bottles so we bought a bottle of Absolute vodka and some Red Bulls and hung out for a while. After that round we decided to head somewhere else. We decided to head home but popped into a place just down the street from our hostel for another round. Once we got back to the hostel we hung out for a bit on the rooftop patio listening to music before we decided to call it a night.
