Off to Crete

April 12:

Today we got up and checked out of our hostel. With the day ahead of us we checked our bags at the hostle and headed out to walk around. We didn’t want to walk aimlessly as we had done so much walking the day before, so we decided to head to a park we had seen yesterday and find a place to sit in the sun and read. And so we did. We sat in the sun for hours and read the day away. Around 5 we decided to head to the grocery store to get snacks for our trip and some dinner. Those goals achieved we headed back to the hostel to hop on the internet for a while. Leaving the hostel we took the metro down to the port and after a bit of searching found the portside kiosk where we could pick up our tickets. The ferry was huge and had already begun loading so we hopped on and got some seats.

After some tv and some snacks it was time to throw on our sleeping masks and get some sleep. We were expected in port at 6am the next morning, mere hours away.
