Munich

April 1:
I awoke at 6:15 am to our train pulling in early to the station just before ours. I packed up the stuff I had left as a mess the night before and woke Pat. We were into Munich central station before 7am and made the half awake walk to Jaeger's Munich, the hostel we were staying at for the next 4 nights. It was really near the station and was no issue to check into. Our one issue was the time; we couldn’t properly sign into the hostel till 3pm a whole eight hours later. We spent the first few hours of this with me playing solitaire on my phone and Pat dozing before we got it together to go get some coffee. We found a Coffee Fellows near us and dropped by for some bagels and lattes. We stayed there and read till around noon at which point we had about all we could take of that and headed out to see the city.

We had been told Munich was a posh city and it is hard to refute. The capital of Bavaria since back when it was its own country, the city is covered with beautiful buildings, sculptures and monuments.

The cars in the city are also eye candy and enhance the feel of wealth. We spent three-ish hours wandering around the heart of the city until we finally made it back to the train station to grab food before we checked in. Once checked in we retrieved our bags from there lockers and headed up to our room to embrace a much-needed sleep. I got up around 9pm and fought with the hostel internet for two hours before heading back to our room. Around 1:30am I got a notification to my computer of an email and realized even though you were supposed to only get internet on the first floor I was against all odds able to get it on the fifth. I eventually got back to sleep around 5:30 in the morning.
